Peter Didriksen, 74, longtime Lombardian, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Loving husband of 45 years to Valerie, nee Olsen. They met while living at Cove Landing, where Peter invited Valerie to ride the Tilt-A-Whirl at a local fest. That moment brought them together and led them to the day they married, on May 16, 1981, in Evanston, Illinois.
Dear dad to Wesley (Melanie) Didriksen and Chad (Lauren) Didriksen. Loving papa to Olsen Didriksen, Audrey Didriksen, Lowry Didriksen and Evan Didriksen. Brother to Barbara (Paul) Moore, Chuck (Cheryl) Didriksen, David (Cathy) Didriksen and Nancy Weinreich.
Peter found joy in music throughout his life, playing both guitar and piano and building a cherished collection of vinyl records. He enjoyed staying active through tennis and jogging and treasured the time he spent coaching his sons’sports teams.
Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Peter brought laughter and warmth to those around him. He was a devoted dog lover and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Tessa.
Above all, Peter loved his family deeply. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 3:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, IL. A family time of sharing will take place at 4:00 PM.
